"Desert Songs" is a monoprint and linocut with gold leaf created by Tammy Greenwood. Tammy’s works are richly woven in symbolism with an expressive palette, which reflect personal subjects of infertility, life, death, and immortality with a deep, feminine connection to this universal consciousness. "Desert Songs" is an ode to the desert viewed through this lens. Despite an appearance of desolation, there is so much life percolating. It’s always being reborn. The bees are like little goddesses allowing all that life and those blooms to be reborn.
