"Strawflower Bouquet" by Rachel Welch
"Strawflower Bouquet" is a watercolor painting by Rachel Welch. As a daily practice, Rachel keeps a sketchbook and paints by her side and captures moments in time as she observes them. She loves flowers and, by taking the time to draw them, sees the uniqueness of each one. She starts with a contour drawing in ink and then adds color, looking for the way the petals and leaves gather light and shadows. The more she takes the time to slow down and look at nature, the more it brings her joy.
